LINDAR Corporation, Baxter
LINDAR applied for and received funding assistance enabling it to build a new 55,000 square foot facility. The added room has meant added business and LINDAR’S workforce has increased by 30, with total employment expected to reach 80 in the near future. |

Lakes Area Mailing, Brainerd
Support from a local lender along with funding from the Initiative Foundation made it possible for owners Chuck Klein and James E. Wallin to start their business. They currently employ more than 15 people but say if business continues to grow, they’ll soon double in size. |

Construction Analysis Management, Brainerd
In need of space and wishing to own rather than rent, CAM was able to obtain the financing needed to renovate a building in downtown Brainerd. Chief Executive Officer Gary Otterstad said it was the perfect solution, less expensive than new construction and conveniently located. |

A long-time lakes area business, NOR-SON, Inc. had outgrown its headquarters and warehouse facilities and was in need of sizeable and appropriate expanse of land upon which to build. Options throughout the lakes area were developed and NOR-SON, Inc. eventually selected several lots within the Baxter Industrial Park as the site for their new facility. |

Northern Tool Call Center, Pequot Lakes
Northern Tool & Equipment was looking for another location (in addition to its Burnsville, Minnesota offices) from which to operate a call-ordering center. The company now employees sixty people at its 12,000 square foot offices in the Pequot Lakes Industrial Park. |

Lexington Manufacturing, Brainerd
In 1998, when Lexington Manufacturing entered into a contract with Trus Joist, A Weyerhaeuser Business, the company originally leased space at the Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd. With the support of local economic development programs, the company was recently able to build a new 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility. |

TEAM INDUSTRIES, Baxter
TEAM Industries had several manufacturing facilities in operation throughout rural Minnesota when it decided to add another. A loan from the City of Baxter (made possible through a grant from the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development) assisted this fast growing company in opening a new facility in the Baxter Industrial Park. TEAM's headquarters is located in Bagley, Minnesota, with facilities in Cambridge, Audubon, Park Rapids, Detroit Lakes and now Baxter. |
